Your Access MRI Experience During COVID-19
Access MRI has implemented multiple procedures and processes to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for our clients and team members.
Here are some of the details:
Before the Appointment
It is important to note that Access MRI, like all regulated health professional facilities, is operating under a public health emergency order. The purpose of the order is to maintain public health and safety.
You will be asked screening questions prior to your appointment to determine if you have symptoms of coronavirus infection or if you are under self-quarantine. These questions will be asked again when you arrive for your appointment.
Access MRI is not able to offer service to clients with possible COVID-19 symptoms or persons under quarantine. If you are experiencing symptoms – fever, coughing, chills, and difficulty breathing – or are under self-quarantine, your appointment will be postponed.
Our Staff
Our staff are doing everything they can to maintain a safe environment, so you can feel at ease that your imaging will be performed with minimal risk.
The following protocols are currently in place for all staff of the clinic:
- No-contact forehead temperature scanning is performed for all staff at the beginning, middle and end of their shifts to ensure that no one is at work with a fever;
- We have a stay-home policy in place for any staff experiencing symptoms; and
- Our staff are social distancing from one another while in the workplace.
Our staff care deeply about your safety, and are happy to comply with these measures in order to provide you with a safe experience at the clinic.
When You Arrive
When you arrive for your appointment at Access MRI, you will be screened for symptoms and risk of exposure. This includes a no contact temperature scan of your forehead.
The reception area is now a ‘patients only’ area, with appointments spaced out so that, wherever possible, only one patient is in reception at a time. Exceptions will be made for care aides, translators, and parents or guardians of patients under the age of 18. Hand sanitizer is available for everyone in the clinic for before and after their appointments.
During your Appointment
During your appointment, clinic staff will be maintaining a safe distance with you where possible. Of course, some parts of your imaging procedures will require closer contact. Proper equipment and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
Clinic appointments have been spaced apart to allow a ‘terminal clean’ disinfection of all surfaces touched by patients and staff during each procedure.
At Access MRI we know it’s important for essential medical imaging services to be accessible to you. We also know that you want to feel safe and secure during this time.
Access MRI is here to support you and will make every effort to ensure your experience is conducted with your health and safety as our top priority.
